The difference between the Australian Labradoodle and the American Labradoodle; The Australian Labradoodle was bred to serve as a service animal. Given that they have multiple generations of selective breeding behind them, the Australian Labradoodle is close to being a distinct breed rather than a crossbreed, which is what the American Labradoodle is. The Australian Labradoodle has genes of the Labrador, Poodle, English Cocker Spaniel, American Cocker Spaniel, Curley Coat Irish Retriever, and the Irish Water Spaniel. The purpose of the Support Dog team is to further promote the Livermore Police Departments commitment and dedication to its employees’ overall health and wellness. Tater will help reduce symptoms of stress, anxiety, and depression, build rapport between department personnel and members of the community and conduct presentations for public relations and educational purposes.
